YMCA of Southwest Washington

The YMCA of Southwest Washington of Longview Washington is dedicated to put the principles of love, respect, honesty, responsibility and service into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all individuals and families in our communities. We welcome men and women, boys and girls of all incomes, faiths and cultures.

Our Dear Members & Community,

Today, an executive order was issued by Governor Inslee mandating closure of all health and fitness centers and other similar recreational venues until March 31, 2020. Abiding by this order, the YMCA of Southwest Washington temporarily suspend all membership operations on Monday, March 16, 2020 at 5:00 pm.

We cannot express the immense impact this will have on our staff and our community. For almost 100 years, the YMCA of Southwest Washington has met some of the region and country’s greatest challenges and still provided essential services across the country.

For our dedicated members and greatest supporters, thank you for staying with us during these challenging times. You are a part of our effort to support the entire community. As a charitable organization, we humbly ask that you continue to pay your membership dues and consider it a contribution to protect our community during this time of uncertainty. We will be using this time to deep clean our facility and complete some building repairs.

The discussion of closure has been incredibly difficult for the staff and our Board of Directors. We do this following the guidelines from public health authorities and for the health and well-being of our members and community as a whole.

Please continue to take care of yourselves and one another. We are all in this together. We hope to re-open April 1, unless the restrictions are extended. T-ball will likely be postponed until May. Please watch this space for updates.
